Why do I have to register to post classifieds?

Registration is required because The Buckeye List has a private messaging integrated into the classified engine. This aids in preventing spammers from pestering you and getting your email address. It also allows users of the classified system to excersise more caution in giving out personal details.

How do I register, and what's required?

Registration is required only to add classifieds. Registration requires a unique username, email address, and password. Register here

What happens if my city isn't in the drop down list?

I found some listing information that is incorrect, can I update it?

If listing information is incorrect, please contact us contact and let us know how we should correct it. Because most listings are user submitted there might be mistakes from time to time. Our team tries to validate listings prior to publishing them.

Can I make comments on listings?

In fact, we want your comments. The Buckeye List encourages all users to make comments on any listings they have experienced. Users can rank listings on a scale of 1-5.

I can't remember my password, how do I log in?

The system is designed to send you a temp password. When you receive the email, you must click the link supplied at which time it will ask you to create a new password.

I registered, but still can't login,what's the deal?

Your account has not yet been activated.
The Buckeye List automatically sent your registered email address a message. Within that message was a link that must be clicked to activate the account. Maybe you didn't get the message? Please contact me with your username, email and I will activate it manually. From time to time, spam filters and bulk mail may trash our automated messages. We're working on that.

How do I change my password?

When members login they have an opportunity to edit their user profile and password in the "my account" section.
